What does the motor block do?

The motor block is the core drive unit of your robotic pool cleaner. It powers the wheel drive and impeller systems that propel the cleaner around the pool and generate suction to collect debris. A failing motor block typically causes loss of movement, reduced suction, or complete unit shutdown.

When should I replace the motor block?

Common signs of a failing motor block include: the cleaner not moving or moving erratically, loss of suction power, unusual grinding or humming noise, or the unit stopping mid-cycle. Early replacement prevents secondary damage to the cleaner's drive train.

Is this the right motor block for my cleaner?

This is a Type C motor block, suited specifically to the Vortex Pro V3, VX42, VX45, VX50 4WD and Polaris 9400/9450 Sport models. If you are unsure of your cleaner's model or motor block type, check the label on the cleaner body or contact our team before ordering.
