Zodiac Salt Chlorinators allow pool owners to generate their chlorine in their own swimming pool. This means you don't need to visit your local pool shop to purchase chlorine, nor do you need to add chlorine to your pool manually.

How it works

A Zodiac Salt Chlorinator requires 4000ppm -5,000ppm of salt to operate, a low level compared to seawater which contains around 35000ppm. An average-sized pool requires around 6-8 bags of salt a year to produce chlorine effectively. As salt is not lost in making chlorine, the amount of salt added periodically will depend on rainfall, which dilutes the salt in the pool water.
