Frequently Asked Questions

What is a motor block on a robotic pool cleaner?

The motor block is the core drive assembly of the robotic cleaner — it contains the motors that power the tracks or wheels for movement around the pool. When a drive motor fails, the cleaner may move erratically, stop moving, or fail to climb walls.

How do I know if my EvoLux EX4000 iQ motor block needs replacing?

Common signs include the cleaner not moving or moving in circles, one side not driving, or error codes on the power supply. We recommend having the unit diagnosed before ordering a motor block, as symptoms can overlap with other faults. Contact us if you need help diagnosing the issue.

Is this a genuine Zodiac part?

Yes — this is a genuine OEM Zodiac/Fluidra motor block (R0867700), not an aftermarket substitute. Using genuine parts ensures correct fit and maintains your cleaner's warranty where applicable.

Is this compatible with other Zodiac EvoLux models?

This motor block is specifically for the EvoLux EX4000 iQ (VR Type 1). Other EvoLux models may use a different motor block type. If you're unsure of your model, contact us with your serial number and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
