Frequently Asked Questions

What is a skimmer box weir door?

The weir door is the flap inside your skimmer box that controls water flow into the skimmer basket. It allows surface debris to enter while preventing backflow when the pump is off. A damaged or missing weir door reduces skimmer efficiency and can allow debris to return to the pool.

How do I know if I need to replace my weir door?

Replace your weir door if it is cracked, warped, missing, or no longer swings freely. A faulty weir door will reduce surface skimming performance and may allow debris to bypass the basket.

Is this a genuine Poolstore part?

No — P305 is a generic aftermarket replacement manufactured to the same dimensions as the original Poolstore weir door.
