Frequently Asked Questions

What filters does this cartridge suit?
This cartridge is compatible with the Paramount Opal XL225, Theralux Filter Pro 225, and Autopool D225 cartridge filters. It replaces OEM part number 701040. Always verify your filter model and existing cartridge dimensions before ordering.

How often should I replace the filter cartridge?
Most pool cartridges last 1–3 years depending on pool size, bather load, and how frequently the cartridge is cleaned. Replace when the pleats show visible damage, the cartridge no longer rinses clean, or filter pressure remains high after cleaning.

How do I clean the cartridge before replacing it?
Rinse with a garden hose from top to bottom between the pleats. For a deeper clean, soak overnight in a cartridge cleaning solution. Never use a high-pressure washer as it can damage the pleated media.

Is this a genuine OEM part?
This is a quality compatible replacement cartridge, not an OEM Paramount or Theralux branded part. It is manufactured to the same dimensions as the original (260mm × 550mm, 75mm hole) for a direct drop-in fit.
