Frequently asked questions

Which pumps does the SPX2300M basket suit?

This replacement basket suits compatible Hayward MaxFlo XL and VS pump applications. Check your specific model's parts list for SPX2300M to confirm fit.

What does a pump strainer basket do?

It catches leaves and larger debris before they move deeper into the pump assembly. The basket can then be removed to empty the collected debris.

When should I replace my pump basket?

Replace the basket if it is cracked, broken, warped or missing. A damaged basket can allow larger debris past the strainer.
