Frequently Asked Questions

What does Beautec do?

Beautec prevents and removes calcium scale, metal stains, and scum from pool surfaces, waterlines, and equipment. It is specifically designed for salt pools and provides 12 months of protection per 40,000 litres from a single dose.

Can Beautec be used to clean a salt cell chlorinator?

Yes — Beautec descales and protects salt cell chlorinators without the need for harsh acids. Regular use helps extend cell life and maintain chlorine output.

How often do I need to dose with Beautec?

One dose of Beautec provides up to 12 months of protection per 40,000 litres of pool water. Dosing frequency may vary depending on water chemistry and pool conditions.

Is Beautec safe for all pool types?

Yes — Beautec contains no phosphates, metals, bromides, or quats, making it safe for fibreglass, concrete, and vinyl lined pools.

What causes scale and staining in salt pools?

Salt pools are particularly prone to calcium carbonate scale due to the electrolysis process in the chlorinator cell raising the local pH. High calcium hardness, high pH, and high alkalinity all contribute to scale formation on pool surfaces, waterlines, and the cell itself. Beautec sequesters these minerals before they can deposit.

How much Beautec do I need for my pool?

Dosing is based on pool volume — one treatment covers 40,000 litres for 12 months. Check the product label for exact dosing instructions or call us on 02 9137 8914 for advice.
