Frequently Asked Questions
Which Astral heat pumps is this WiFi module compatible with?
Part 78563 is compatible with all Astral Viron Inverter, Top Discharge Inverter, and ECO Inverter heat pumps. It is supplied as standard with Viron Inverter and Top Discharge Inverter models. For ECO Inverter models it is an optional add-on accessory. If you are unsure which model you have, check the label on your heat pump or contact us on 02 9137 8914.
What app does this WiFi module use?
The black WiFi module (Part 78563) uses the AQUATEMP app, available from the Google Play Store (Android) and Apple App Store (iOS). The previous HEATPUMPGO app has been discontinued and is no longer available. If you have an older white WiFi module (Part 78565), you should use the INVERTERTEMP app — not AQUATEMP, which only works with the black module.
How do I set up the black WiFi module?
Download the AQUATEMP app from your device's app store. You will need the WF code from the identification label on the side of your Astral Viron Inverter heat pump to connect the module to the cloud. The module has a magnet on the back and can be mounted indoors or outdoors near the heat pump. A 2.4GHz WiFi router is required — 5GHz-only networks are not supported.
I have an old white WiFi module — what app should I use?
If you have the older white WiFi module (Part 78565), use the INVERTERTEMP app. The HEATPUMPGO app has been discontinued. Note: if you get a new smartphone, HEATPUMPGO will no longer be available to download — you will need to use INVERTERTEMP with your white module, or upgrade to the new black module (Part 78563) and use AQUATEMP.
