How It Works

Chitosan attracts organic debris — oils, sunscreen, and fine particles — and forms a floc that is carried to the filter for easy removal. Unlike petroleum-based clarifiers, Chitosan encapsulates oil molecules and holds them in suspension so they don’t stick to pool surfaces or filter media. When the filter is cleaned, the oil is removed in the effluent, keeping your filter cleaner for longer.
