Frequently Asked Questions
How does the deflector wheel work?
The deflector wheel sits on top of the cleaner and contacts the pool wall or corner before the cleaner body does, redirecting the cleaner away and preventing it from getting stuck. The adjustable mount lets you change the angle to alter the cleaner's turning pattern.
When should I replace the deflector wheel?
Replace the deflector wheel if you notice cracking, brittleness, or if the cleaner is consistently getting stuck in corners despite correct adjustment. UV exposure and pool chemicals can cause the plastic to degrade over time.
Is this a genuine Zodiac part?
Yes — this is a genuine OEM Zodiac Baracuda deflector wheel (W70730), not an aftermarket substitute.
