Frequently Asked Questions

What does the back skirt do on a pool cleaner?

The back skirt creates a seal between the cleaner body and the pool surface, directing suction downward for effective debris pickup and helping the cleaner maintain traction on floors and walls.

How do I know when the back skirt needs replacing?

Common signs include the cleaner moving sluggishly, losing suction, climbing poorly, or lifting off the pool floor during operation.

Why buy a pack of 4?

Skirts wear evenly, so replacing all four at once ensures balanced performance and saves you from a second service call shortly after.

Is this compatible with my cleaner?

This skirt fits the Hayward Aquanaut, Swimkleen ATV, and The Pool Cleaner models. Confirm using part number 4000099.

Is this a genuine part?

Yes, this is a genuine OEM replacement part, not an aftermarket copy.
